Sarah grew up in north Leeds and, unusually for the legal profession, has a BSc (hons) in Maths & Computer Science. After a few years working with computers, Sarah realised that she much preferred working with people and converted to Law. Sarah qualified as a Solicitor in 2011 and spent a number of years practicing family law in Yorkshire, then in London, before returning to Yorkshire and changing her focus to private client work.
Sarah joined Newstead & Walker in May 2018 and specialises in Probate matters, from the most simple to the most complex estates. Sarah also specialises in advising upon and preparing Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.
Sarah is a fully qualified member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and alos a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (now named The Association of Lifetime Lawyers); a national association of lawyers who specialise in older client law.
Sarah always aims to combine a welcoming and friendly approach, with skill, knowledge and professionalism. She has been described by existing clients as ‘courteous, well-informed & friendly’ and ‘honest with expertise’.
Sarah has two young daughters so spare time is something of a rarity, but she does enjoy crafts and playing football when she gets the opportunity.
