Alex grew up in Guiseley and, after earning her History degree in Newcastle, returned to Leeds to pursue a career in law. She joined a local firm and balanced full-time work with studying for the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course, successfully qualifying as a Solicitor in 2016.

Upon qualifying, Alex chose to specialise in Private Client law and became an accredited member of Lifetime Lawyers formerly Solicitors for the Elderly , a national organisation dedicated to supporting vulnerable and elderly individuals. Her expertise covers a broad range of private client matters, including estate administration, drafting Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and handling Court of Protection applications.

Alex joined Newstead and Walker in September 2024 and is committed to delivering a high-quality service, combining professionalism with a personal, client-focused approach.

Outside of work, Alex is married with two young children and a Dalmatian. While spare time is limited, she enjoys attending live comedy and music events wherever possible.
